Sarah Givner, MD

Dr. Sarah Givner was born and raised in Melville, NY. She attended Dartmouth College where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in French. She completed her medical prerequisites at Goucher College in Towson, Maryland. Dr. Givner continued her graduate medical training at Stony Brook University School of Medicine in Stony Brook, NY. While in medical school, Dr. Givner sought to learn more about the social determinants of health. She completed her master’s degree in public health at Columbia University’s Mailman School, and her residency in Social Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. After residency, Dr. Givner moved to Austin, Texas to be with her now-husband Sam who is a Texas native and UT Austin alum. They have two lovely children, a three-year-old son and a one-year-old daughter. Dr. Givner is excited to be back on the Island exploring her hometown favorites with her favorite people. In her admittedly limited spare time, she enjoys traveling, art-house movies, cooking, and comedy.
