The term Adjuvant means “something that enhances the effectiveness of medicine.”
Adjuvant.Health, was formed by the Partner Physicians and Executive team of Allied Physicians Group in 2018. The Managed Service Organization allows practicing physicians to focus less on business needs and more on what is important to them, patient care. It is a partnership of like-minded independent pediatric physicians focused on both the clinical and financial side of a practice or group.

Our Mission
We, at Allied, are dedicated to providing the highest quality healthcare with exceptional service for all.
Company Vision

Our Core Values Bring RICHES
Our Culture
RISE: Respect Individuality. Support Equity.
The RISE Committee was created to begin breaking down the walls surrounding equity and racism in our organization and in our communities. While we have always strived to be an inclusive organization with a diverse workforce, we recognize that we, like all of our community members, can and need to improve.
Our Mission is to cultivate and promote an environment of inclusion and equity.
Allied and Adjuvant are committed to creating an all-inclusive culture. We will achieve this by empowering each person in our organization to examine their mindset to become aware of how it affects behaviors. In spaces safe from judgment and discrimination, we aim to inspire transformative change that will make a positive impact on our community. Together we will all RISE to create a brighter future!
This Committee is a safe space for conversation and debate for everyone. Discussions focus on the acquisition of knowledge, open discussion on race and racism, and collaboration of ideas.
Communication and Collaboration
We work collaboratively across our physician practices and Home Office on best practices. As a group we aim to leverage all of our available resources. We are at the forefront of technology and offer our employees robust collaboration tools and utilize Microsoft 365 platform for telework capability and videoconferencing.
CHIME: Choosing Health Internally, Mentally, & Through Education
The Wellness Committee strives to educate employees and provide easy access to internal programming and education to help them make better lifestyle choices. Our committee encourages movement and provides the tools and resources that can help improve the employee’s overall well-being.
The Wellness Committee programs aim to motivate change in individual employee behavior by increasing people’s knowledge about health and wellness, influencing attitudes, or challenging beliefs about health. We encourage employees to take ‘baby steps’ toward change such as taking the stairs, parking further away from the entrance of the building, and bringing a healthier lunch to work three times a week versus dining out.
Our programs recognize that groups at the worksite can provide social identity and support and should look to create and encourage these opportunities for group interaction. For example, offering work-based weight loss programs (individual or a team-based weight loss challenge), support groups for tobacco cessation, and walking clubs.
We ensure that leadership, policies, practices, and the physical work environment are supportive and conducive to healthy behavior change. We mandate a tobacco-free worksite, instituting healthy vending machine policies, requiring healthy food choices in the cafeteria, and allowing time for physical activity (such as walking groups) during the workday.

Providing Exceptional Care Since 2006
Before Allied Physicians Group was established, two independent, hospital-based pediatricians discussed their concerns about the future of healthcare. From their conversations and with the help of an attorney, a plan emerged to build a network of independent practices around the New York metropolitan area.
The physicians compiled a list of dream-team doctors, including Dr. Gary Mirkin, who served as CEO of Allied Physicians Group (formerly Allied Pediatrics of New York) for 11 years. He decided to get involved in the organization’s early formation with the persuasion of Dr. Gene Friedman, who knew virtually every pediatrician on Long Island.
The Early Years
During their first meeting, the physicians addressed the challenges of combining forces while remaining fully independent, and their attorney explained all available options. Both Dr. Mirkin and Dr. Friedman co-chaired the group and sought other qualified physicians to join the group. Dr. Mirkin formed “Allied Pediatrician Group” on Yahoo, so those interested could stay in touch.
By the time the business formed in 2006, there were more than 60 pediatricians who joined Allied Pediatrics of New York. Each participating physician gave funding to retain an attorney and launch the entity. They decided on the business structure through a committee process, working with the attorney to outline an operating agreement. Only those who bought into the partnership earned a vote.
Allied Physicians Today
The group’s independence is integral to our success because it is physician-owned and led. This freedom allows Allied doctors to refer patients to the best specialists to care for that patient.
Today, Allied Physicians Group is comprised of more than 150 physicians and clinicians who provide patient-centered care and collaborate on their best practices. Allied specialties include, but are not limited to pediatrics, adult medicine, allergy, asthma, and pulmonology.
