Allied Physicians Group is available for breastfeeding and lactation in-office support across New York and the greater metropolitan area. Telemedicine breastfeeding and lactation visits are available and can be scheduled through our offices. We care for patients prenatally with education and empowerment after delivery to help you get off to a strong start and throughout your breastfeeding journey to help you reach your goals.
Button to custom link View All Breastfeeding Support LocationsAllied’s breastfeeding medicine services include in-office consultations with breastfeeding and lactation medicine physicians who exclusively care for breastfeeding parents and their children, board-certified pediatricians that are international board-certified lactation consultants who care for breastfeeding families in their regular pediatric offices, or board certified lactation consultants who counsel patients in Allied pediatric offices. Each individual helps moms and babies accomplish a breastfeeding plan that works for them. We also offer virtual visits for your convenience and comfort, which have been invaluable resources to new moms in those early, sleepless days!
Transitioning to parenthood can be overwhelming. The fourth trimester is a unique period for mother and baby, and all breastfeeding mothers deserve an in-depth session with follow-ups as needed to optimize their health and the health of their infants. Dr. Lauren Macaluso and, as of May 2023, Dr. Lena Edelstein are honored to provide quality breastfeeding and lactation specialist medical care to breastfeeding families where their individual goals can be met.
Initial visits usually last 1 hour and 15 minutes and cover:
Follow-up appointments are scheduled to reassess for improvement or for new breastfeeding concerns throughout your journey.
