Kanwaljit Brar, MD
Dr. Kanwaljit “Rupam” Brar has extensive expertise in pediatric allergy and immunology. She previously served on the faculty in the Department of Pediatrics at NYU Grossman School of Medicine in the Division of Allergy and Immunology.
Dr. Brar specializes in pediatric allergic and immunologic conditions, with a particular focus on atopic dermatitis and food allergies. She has published research and clinical guidelines on the management of atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, food allergies, and anaphylaxis.
She earned her medical degree from Drexel University School of Medicine, followed by a pediatric residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. She then completed a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. After fellowship training, Dr. Brar pursued additional specialization through a Pediatric Dermatology Research fellowship and has served as an investigator in multiple clinical trials focused on atopic dermatitis.
Dr. Brar has also been a faculty member at National Jewish Health in Denver, Colorado, and a clinical investigator in the National Institutes of Health Atopic Dermatitis Research Network, as well as in industry-sponsored trials.
She is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of both the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.
