Tejal Shah, MD, FAAP

Dr. Tejal Shah offers a culturally rich and empathetic approach to pediatric care. Born in India, raised in Dubai, and a U.S. resident since age 10, she’s experienced life across continents and brings that global perspective to every patient she sees.

She earned her B.S. in Biological Sciences from UMBC and her medical degree from Ross University, completing her pediatric residency at NYU-Winthrop Hospital on Long Island. Her care philosophy is rooted in evidence-based medicine and family-centered support.

Now living in Great Neck with her husband, Sam, and their princess, Layla, Dr. Shah connects with families through every stage of life. Her thoughtful, reassuring style helps parents feel confident and supported.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys NYC rooftops, brunch spots, traveling, dancing, and cooking for loved ones. Her mantra: “Expect nothing and appreciate everything.”
